A great man has passed away today, the Pope john Paul II. I was brought up a catholic and, though I don’t consider myself a catholic now, I have an enormous respect towards this man.
He was the head of the Catholic Church for 26 and half years, some things he did I really admire. A few I can remember now: He apologized for the sins of Catholic Church, which I think was absolutely necessary. He, with his charisma and attitude, was a big influence on youth to have a stronger relationship with Christ, through Catholic Church, yes, but with Christ, and that’s the main achievement as I see it. He made many efforts to have more communication with other Christians and with other Creeds, showing great respect. He served the Lord until his last days, less than a week ago he couldn’t even talk, but he managed to bless us when we celebrated the renewal of Christ promise to us. He served the Lord with love and joy, and also suffered for the horrors of humanity. I admire him for his strength and devotion throughout his life, and I grieve now that he’s gone. I believe, tho, that the Lord had His arms wide open to receive him, and that Karol Wojtyla will be by His side from now on.
You may or may not share this with me, I just ask u to be respectful, not only with my beliefs or with Catholics, but to this great man who has left this life to enter eternal life.

I have been consistently watching the TV for the last few days and today morning, the amount of people crowded in Rome to ahve a glimpse of the dead man. I'm just overwhelmed. He wouldnt be having such if he was not a great human being.

My respects to him.
